🔥 Bring It to the Fire
At Focus on the Light Foundation, we believe that true healing, self-awareness, and personal growth shouldn’t happen in isolation. Our sacred logo represents the intimacy and depth of human connection—and there is no better place to foster that than around the transformative power of a fire.
Throughout the month of August, we are opening our doors and our hearts. Every Friday evening, we gather around the fire pit to share, listen, and build the foundations of a conscious community in Northern Michigan.
Who Is This For?
Seekers of Connection: Anyone looking for a safe, warm space to talk about what truly matters to their heart, share their personal journey, or simply enjoy real, authentic human presence.
Future Volunteers & Dreamers: If you feel the call to help us build this non-profit from the ground up—whether through fresh ideas, creative support, or manual help—come share your vision with us.
Helping Professionals: We warmly welcome local therapists, coaches, and holistic practitioners who believe in collaboration over competition to connect and explore how we can support each other.
📋 How It Works & What to Bring
The Flow: We start at 6:00 PM with an open circle of sharing—introducing our foundation’s vision, discussing volunteer opportunities, and holding space for whatever is on your heart. Afterward, we eat, laugh, and enjoy the night.
No Set End Time: We begin at 6:00 PM, but how long we stay depends entirely on the unique energy and synergy we co-create together that night.
What to Bring: This is a BYOB/BYOF (Bring Your Own Beverage / Bring Your Own Food) gathering. Please bring your own food and drinks to enjoy around the fire.
⚠️ Special Dates & Exclusions
We gather rain or shine, every single week, with one special exception:
Thursday, August 13th: On the week of our exclusive, limited-seater experiential weekend, we will gather on Thursday instead of Friday. There will be no fire pit on Friday, August 14th, as we prepare for our main event (August 14–16).
